Lubbock, TX – A student brought to the campus police station for a welfare check shot and killed a campus police officer Monday night. The campus has been placed on lockdown as a hunt begins for the murderer.
The student was in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia which prompted the police to take him to the station.
It was at the station that the student, described as 6 feet tall and around 145 pounds pulled out a gun and shot the officer in the head.
Update 10:33 pm EST: The police have detained the suspect, Hollis Daniels, he is alive and in custody
