New York City, NY. – ESPN has just announced that Jemele Hill, a controversial and outspoken anchor has been suspended by the network following a series of tweets in which she accused the President of being a “white supremacist”, and called for a boycott of the NFL after Dallas Cowboy’s owner Jerry Jones called for all members of his team to stand during the national anthem.
ESPN stated that in sending out these tweets, Hill was in violation of the network’s social media guidelines. Hill has been the center of national controversy for weeks now since she made her comments about the President online. An outspoken liberal, the “SC6” host even flaunts photos of herself with Barack and Michelle Obama online.
At the moment neither ESPN, nor the NFL have provided a response, and it is unknown if Hill will be paid during her suspension.
